About Me

My name is Kaylee Bruton and I graduated Tennessee Technological University in December 2020!  My degree is in communication journalism with a concentration in public relations and an emphasis on digital and electronic multimedia.  I love working in design and video.  I fell into communications during my freshman year at Tech when I started working at Golden Eagle Sports Network (GESN) and I immediately fell in love.  

            After working there for a semester, I received the opportunity to expand my knowledge when I was offered a job with the Tech football team.  For four and a half years, I have worked with the football team on video at all games and practices. 

            During that time, I also worked at GESN as a graphic design intern where I gained experience in different adobe products.  

            The summer after my junior year, I worked in Nashville at Tennessee Digital Video (TNDV) where I became knowledgeable about entertainment and different areas of video, as well as, mobile video. I used robo cams and learned how to route on a mobile truck. 

            In my senior year, I was again an intern for GESN.  This time, I worked on video more than graphics and became knowledgeable about even more adobe products.  I also used technical equipment such as a switcher, 3play, crossfire (xfire) and so much more!   I was published in The Oracle five times and one of my designs was published in The Eagle magazine.  In my last semester, I interned at the City of Cookeville Chamber of Commerce as communications intern and was the Editor-in-Chief at The Eagle Yearbook.

Recently, a co-worker and I have started a new videography company called Oh Shoot Videography. We specialize in videography in the community and have shot multiple weddings and engagements within 9 months.  You can view this website at https://selbykaylee.wixsite.com/ohshootvideography.

After college, I started working as a Marketing Director for an HVAC company back in my home town. I managed the marketing for 3 companies there. 

I then we back to Tennessee Tech and have been working in Athletics as the Video Production Coordinator since 2021.
